I have a brother MFC device that has never worked correctly and it seems never will unless I learn how to write device drivers. Setting up the printer itself, before connecting anything to my computer, was simply a matter of RTFI, and follow directions. If that works then you can try setting up printer and hope they both work that way. Brother MFCcn in Slack 11? I can only agree with you about the support brother gives on linux users.

Research what other people have bought and have had mfc–240c experiences with when installing and using in Linux. I can only agree with you about the support brother gives mfd-240c linux users.

But all in all i’d also like to thank brother for the support they gave me! Brother Mfcc My thanks and cudo’s to the folks at Brother for their continued support for Linux users. I’ve read where others have the same issue as you with Brother devices, printer works scanner doesn’t. Having a problem logging in? If that works then you can try setting up printer and hope they both work that way.
