Is there anything else I can try? That file first shipped with Windows. The machine was basically as it was from day one when it ran without issue.

In reply to al’s post on February 5, The other thing is, just like previous posts – all my other systems work fine. I have the same question I don’t remember it being this difficult. Sometimes it works and I can see my two hd, other times I have to reboot, go into bios make no changesexit and it works again.

For my own situation, I had to roll back to a much older version of the driver to get the “Wake from Shutdown” option.
I thought maybe by bridging the 2 connections I might get some results as well but nope, I get the same issue. Dps reply to Si Johns’s post on December 11, Safari actually worked longer and better than the others but is now having the same issue.
I guess I took instructions to literally. It was not the Windows 7 OS software as I did a fresh install on a new HD with no other programs installed and did not allow it update, it did it immediately. The 88e805 thing is when I drop the internet connection it’s not “fully” dropped.
I’ve got about 20 nic cards lying around, I guess I can give a couple more a shot and see what happens. Has anyone else suffered a similar issue and if so is there a fix?
