There’s no built-in MIDI interface. It has a great sound and has no mass sound or hiss when connected. Must hack pro tools to succeed, then this kind of feature should be proposed automatically. Keep in mind that it’s USB 1. I tasttrack it to start my Pro Tools and record with it. In a back-to-back comparison, the Fast Track is somewhat fuller sounding than the headphone out jack on a MacBook Prowhich is actually quite clean by built-in laptop audio standards.
