Thanks guys, I was just on the Winline site and they have driver support for the HP and many other DesignJet series raster plotters.

The usb to serial may be a little more problematic because if it is similar to HP plotters of the potential for twisted pin communication of the serial port to the plotter. I have not contacted FastCAD in quite a while now, but their tech support has always been very friendly and helpful. I was told by the tech support person at FastCAD a few years back about a private company that had developed a driver for plottee old pen plotters.
The adapter should work but the driver needs to be from the manufacturer if they still make them. Originally Posted by Kelly K. The demo driver has limitations and prints a watermark and I’m going back to download it for my HP Its just a Windows Vista 64 bit driver that happens to work in windows 7, because HP, at that time didn’t make a windows 7 driver.
Looks like you can download the driver for free to test it before purchasing. Anybody using either of these printers successfully with Windows 7? You may have to register before you can post: Winddows, I had trouble with the system recognizing my parallel to usb adapter.
I should probably pay the piper and get a techie to do a house call. Might not hurt to give them a call to see if they know of anyone who does have a driver for Win 7.

BB I have that same setup for my with the same cable and it work great in windows 7 Pro 64 bit. All times are GMT If you have the cable that came with the plotter in theory it should work.
