In the end, DPC latency seemed to be the culprit audii for the link to the tool! I was about to RMA my board until I came across this thread. It would be a nice easy solution. The installer says that if you use a dsdt then you do not check the enabler.

If I hook the front panel cable for HD audio on the CMii case to the mobo, and then hook up headset to front ports, the HD audio panel continually flickers back and forth between “mic” and “headset” detection dialogs. Since doing the upgrade I am experiencing problems with the sound, where it will stutter or crackle. But if you select Line Out it does not work.
