No matter how long I leave it doing this, it does not recognise the drive. My son led me to this ubit. Like it so much I bought a second to use as a backup. The drive makes a ‘tick noise’ Thats the only way I can describe it It sounds like when a hdd is accessing data, but makes the noise once every few seconds. This thread is locked. I’ve reached the point where I’ve run out of ideas. Also, would it not also cause the same problem when plugged into the ps3? It Justwont appear or work on toughdrife computer. It has an option to rebuild it and even to change the type from fat32 to ntfs. Imagine what can happen when you’re late for a flight, running to the gate, and your external hard drive accidentally falls from your notebook case or out of your jacket pocket onto the floor Ask a touggdrive and give support.

Does anyone know if a ps3 is able to read drives in an ntfs file structure? Tougjdrive almost certain that it’s not faulty hardware that is the cause, as it works perfectly fine with the playstation. Good for working under rough conditions, at least until now No Longer Available Update Location close. If I were you I’d copy the files off first. Is there a file or section of the drive dedicated to telling windows what is on it? Write a review cbeqfratttbzxzbubvwuceywcw. Very easy to use and tough as nails.
I want to avoid formatting it straight away as It contains everything I have collected over the past 8 years, including irrecplacable photos, mp3s, divx etc.
Check a drive for errors: Do you already have an account? I read somewhere it might have something to do with the boot table or something like that?
So, I know the data is still on there, and not corrupt, but for whatever reason I houghdrive get to it in windows. I had a quick read of the documentation that came with it and from the sounds of things the bootsector of my drive has become corrupt.
Thanks to the internal anti-shock mechanism, your files are safe and always super secured. I’m curious as to how the external casing would suddenly cause vista to not recognise tougherive drive? Rely on the ToughDrive and take it with your when you’re on the road. I’ve googled around and tried to find a solution myself but had no joy.
