Ran yast and installed the ndisgtk from the pacman repository. Instead of using ndiswrapper or ndisinstaller I decided to try ndisgtk since none of the previous attempts were successful and no one had already suggested it.

These Broadcom issues are a nuisance! It sounds like this may be broarcom to the BCM chipset issue. The second line is the action in this case blacklisting. Then you have to download a few driver files and check them out for the correct chipset.

I saw a post on another Linux thread that stated you needed to install the firmware-binstaller so I iarforce that and rebooted. Kudos to NMI who did the in-depth testing on this one.
